Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Will Let Players… Go Fishing? | COGconnected

Cod

Next week, Treyarch is launching new content, including the first Main Quest in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Outbreak mode. There will be a new map added to Dead Ops Arcade 3, a limited-time mode called Cranked 2: No Time to Crank in Firebase Z and Die Maschine, and a new map exclusive to PlayStation. There are also some interesting additions to the large-scale Zombies mode Outbreak, which launched back in February. Along with new intel, radio transmissions, artifacts, and audio logs, apparently there is also an opportunity to go fishing.

It is unclear exactly what players can expect from fishing. Years ago, in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, players could engage in a fishing activity on the Exo Zombies map Carrier. You would have to find pieces of a fishing pole and assemble it. Perhaps this same sort of activity will be returning or maybe it will be involved in a totally different way. Just don’t expect zombies to wait quietly while you fish alongside the riverbank. Maybe it will play into the Main Quest or the new Orda Encounter World Event.

A ton of weapons have been added to the Mystery Box rotation in Outbreak, as well as gameplay adjustments and features. For PlayStation players, a new map will be available next week. This will also bring about a new limited-time mode and new challenge for an exclusive weapon. This content will not be available on other platforms until November. All this content will kick off on May 20th. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Wars is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Will you be jumping into Outbreak to try out fishing? Let us know in the comments below.
